This quote is golden
When we try to change the way we live our lives but fail, it is often due to our habits not reflecting our goals.
This is a short book, but it’s well worth reading. Minimalism is, after all, by definition, about simplicity. So a simple book should be a short book, right? It has an introduction, seven chapters (there are 6 in the Table of Contents but you actually end up stumbling on a 7th chapter) and a conclusion. The first chapter explains what minimalism is, the second whether it is the right thing for you, the third explains the benefits of minimalism, and so on. The author defines minimalism as a tool to rid oneself of the excess in life in order to focuson what is most important. For Alex Michaels, this is happiness, satisfaction and freedom. I would have to agree with this in part, though I think service to others is also its own reward. The suggestions about drinking lemon water, planning meals and going over your goals were particularly useful. I also liked the 30 Day Challenge from Chapter 7, though I am skeptical of the suggestion to ‘buy nothing new for 1 year’. I don’t think that’s the most realistic suggestion. What about books? Should I not buy any more books for a year? Nevertheless, it’s a pretty decent book.
This is a great introduction for people who are new to leading a more minimalist lifestyle. I also like that it focuses on how you live, not just possession reduction.

not only does this book give you a one track method into a minimalist lifestyle. it highlights important health life choices and even links with spiritual / mindful tactics that can help smooth out the overall process. its a simple guide to improve your life not just in the material sense.
I think that in order to free up time and make room for what's important to you in life. You need this book to help you understand what Minimalist means. This book explains that you don't have to live frugal to be happy, but only have to necessary things that you need. Getting rid of distractions that puts no value to you. This book has advice and tips on how to do that.
I was excited to get this book, then when I received it, I laughed!! $13.98 for this tiny 53 page pamphlet??!? Wow!!
And even more disturbing, so many words were misspelled!!!
The concept was okay, but someone should have proofread it first.
